I'm very late in discovering this and it has already been recced everywhere, but I've read this story last night and it has haunted me the whole day. For those who don't usually read this pairing (Draco/Albus), well, I don't either, but please give it a try. Be aware however that there are very serious warnings coming with this fic (NO major character death) and you'd like to check them before reading.

Almost anything I could say would be spoilery, so I just want to add that

potteresque_ire has succeeded here in creating a particularly eerie but fascinating dystopian universe. Her writing is exquisite, the characters unforgettable. Some parts are really disturbing, but the fic is not without hope, although I would not recommend this fic if you feel low.
